31 Oct Sunscreen Panel 2016
I was fortunate enough to be a member of the panel for “how to go out and make a film”. Over three years ago I was on the other side of that table. I was asking the panelists questions like “how can I make a film” and “how do I raise the funds” as well as many other questions. To be able to sit there and give advice, or at least explain how I have done it, felt very good. It isn’t an easy journey and it’s a journey that never ends. I still have a lot to learn. However to be able to see how far I had come and how much I have learnt in three years, shows to me that if you want something badly enough, you will make it happen. Film is in your blood, it is addictive, it is an industry that if you truly love it, you will eat, breathe and sleep it and never feel like you have worked a day in your life. I am no different to all those people asking the questions. It’s just that I’m doing it. I don’t make excuses and I believe I can and will continue to make movies. So for all those people who attend festivals, well done, you are already ahead of the game. Keep on going and don’t give up. It is all possible. I hope to be able to speak at many other festivals, I love telling my story. My real story of making it in this industry.
